Funding Your Training

There are many ways to reduce or cover the cost of your training at Asset College — from government subsidies to payment plans.

Funding Options

We'll help you find the right funding option for your situation.

Government-Subsidised Training

Many of our courses are eligible for state government subsidies through programs like User Choice (QLD), Smart and Skilled (NSW), and Skills First (VIC). Eligibility conditions apply.

VET Student Loans

Eligible students can defer their course fees through the VET Student Loans program — similar to HECS/HELP for vocational education. Available for select higher-level qualifications.

Traineeships

Employer-sponsored traineeships let you earn while you learn. Your employer covers the cost of training while you work towards your qualification on the job.

JobTrainer & Skilling Australians

Subsidised training for job seekers and those looking to upskill. Eligibility is subject to state government funding availability.

Payment Plans

Can't pay upfront? Asset College offers flexible payment plans so you can spread the cost of your course over time.

Employer Sponsorship

Some security employers will sponsor your training costs in exchange for a commitment to work with them after qualifying. Ask us about current employer sponsorship opportunities.

Funding FAQs

How do I know if I'm eligible for a subsidy?

Eligibility depends on your state, age, employment status, and prior qualifications. Contact our team and we'll check your eligibility for free — no obligation.

Can I get funding for online courses?

Some funding programs cover online delivery; others require face-to-face attendance. Our team can advise on which funding applies to your chosen course and delivery mode.

What if I don't qualify for any funding?

We offer competitive course fees and flexible payment plans so training remains accessible. Contact us to discuss your options.

How do I apply for a VET Student Loan?

You apply through the Australian Government's VSL portal. Our admissions team will guide you through the process and confirm your course is eligible before you enrol.
