Do I need a security licence to work in security?
Yes. In all Australian states and territories you must hold a current security licence to work as a security officer. The licence is issued by your state's licensing authority after you complete approved training.
How long is a security licence valid?
Licence duration varies by state — typically 1 to 3 years. You will need to renew your licence before it expires to continue working.
Can I get my licence faster through RPL?
Yes. If you have relevant industry experience, Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) can fast-track your qualification without sitting through the full course. Contact us for a free RPL assessment.
How much does it cost?
Course fees vary depending on your state, delivery mode, and any funding you may be eligible for. Contact us for a current fee schedule and to check your funding eligibility.
