No formal prerequisite qualifications are required for this course.
LLND: Intermediate English language, literacy and numeracy skills required. An online LLN assessment must be completed prior to commencing enrolment.
Technology: Computer with word processing software, PDF reader, and reliable internet connection required. Some learning material cannot be printed or downloaded.
Criminal History: A criminal record may affect eligibility for an ACT security licence. Contact Access Canberra directly if you have concerns.
International Students: Not open to international students (student visa 500).

Licensing Requirements
The ACT Class 2A Security Consultant licence is administered by Access Canberra under the Security Industry Act 2003.
To obtain your Class 2A licence you must:
1. Successfully complete the CPP41519 Certificate IV in Security Risk Analysis
2. Meet all ACT probity and identity requirements
3. Submit a licence application to Access Canberra
4. Pay applicable licence fees
Note: Unlike NSW, the ACT does not impose a mandatory years-of-experience requirement before you can apply for the Class 2A licence. Completing the qualification is the primary pathway.
Completing this course satisfies the training requirement but does not guarantee a licence.
