ACT 2A Security Consultant

The CPP41519 Certificate IV in Security Risk Analysis is the key qualification for those seeking an ACT Class 2A Security Consultant licence through Access Canberra.

Holding a Class 2A licence authorises you to assess and advise clients on their security needs — from physical systems and access control to risk management planning and crowded place security.

This qualification is delivered fully online with flexible, self-paced study and regular trainer contact. A standard timeline of 12 months allows you to study around existing work and life commitments.

Upon successful completion, you will be awarded the CPP41519 Certificate IV in Security Risk Analysis.

The ACT Class 2A Security Consultant licence is administered by Access Canberra under the Security Industry Act 2003.

To obtain your Class 2A licence you must:

1. Successfully complete the CPP41519 Certificate IV in Security Risk Analysis

2. Meet all ACT probity and identity requirements

3. Submit a licence application to Access Canberra

4. Pay applicable licence fees

Note: Unlike NSW, the ACT does not impose a mandatory years-of-experience requirement before you can apply for the Class 2A licence. Completing the qualification is the primary pathway.
