Course Overview
With the rise in compensation claims and fraudulent activity, the demand for skilled, licensed Private Investigators is increasing across Australia — including in New South Wales. These professionals play a critical role in both civil and criminal investigations, working on behalf of law firms, insurers, government bodies, and private clients.
Private Investigators may be engaged as contractors or in-house specialists, conducting factual investigations, surveillance operations, and internal inquiries to uncover essential information and evidence. Investigators often operate with limited supervision, using discretion and sound judgement to collect and present information on a person's behaviour, activities, or employment.
Asset College delivers the CPP30619 Certificate III in Investigative Services, which allows you to apply for a NSW Class 2E Investigator licence.

It must be translated into English, issued within the past 12 months, and verified by that country's consulate or embassy in Australia.
SLED may refuse your application if you:
- Have a prescribed criminal conviction in the past 10 years
- Have been found guilty without conviction in the past 5 years
- Are a registrable person under child protection legislation
